Using the book No Ordinary Time by Jan Phillips as a launching point, we will:

  • Look at our individual, religious and cultural stories, to see how they have shaped our beliefs and how they may help us move forward

  • Consider how we might create more satisfying and nourishing lives for ourselves and others by actively participating in the ongoing work of the Creative Force (which you may call God, Mind-At-Large, the Universe, or Life)

  • Explore the interplay between contemplation and (inspired) action

  • Envision a future that includes everyone

In this session, you will be introduced to some simple mindfulness practices you can easily incorporate into your daily life.  Discover how the practice of mindfulness may help you manage emotions, reduce stress, improve relationships and connect to your best self.
