Each of us is unique. So each of us has a unique definition of what a Winged Life would look and feel like. But for many women, a Winged Life includes the following, in varying proportions:
- Deep and Supportive Relationships
- Career Success or Achievement
- Adventure
- Beauty
- Spiritual Connection
- Letting Go of Doubt, Fear and Worry
- FUN!
Here is my personal definition:
My Winged Life is a life lived with purpose and intention, and one of those intentions is to enjoy it! It is a life taken seriously, but lived lightly. It is a life lived with both inspired planning and spontaneity, with abundance and joy and love. It is the willingness to let God control, to step into the flow of creation, to notice who I am being and who I am representing as I go about all the do-ings of my days. It includes family, friends, travel, intellectual stimulation and creative expression. It includes spiritual and social connection to others. It is the life I was created to live.
Do I actually live that life? Not all the time, no. But I can say that, since I set an intention to live a winged life, I live it more and more each day. It is easy to get so caught up in "doing" that we forget who we want to "be" while we are doing whatever it is we are doing. Articulating who we want to be and how we want to live is the first step to making it happen!
